Early Bird

After playing with friends all day Saturday Avery didn't wake up until 8 AM this morning. When she finally made her appearance I said, "Hello, princess! You slept in!" Then June jumped in with, "And me slept out!" Sure did.

June is our little alarm clock. She comes in our room every morning between 6 and 6:30 AM asking for her favorite food: "dogurt." Her reason for being out of bed? "Not too dark! Sun going right up!"

Well, we can't argue with that. Dang summer!

Tangent: Speaking of early birds...this is the view out our living room window right now:

Four baby robins! It has been so fun to watch the process from nest to eggs to floppy, featherless little birdies to four fine feathered friends. We love watching mom and daddy robin feed them worms. It's been awesome!
